Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Paris Reid Jewellery.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced on our website.

These terms govern the purchase of jewellery and related products through our website. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time. The version applicable to your purchase will generally be the version in effect when your order is accepted.

1. Our Jewellery

Paris Reid Jewellery creates distinctive pieces designed and crafted in Los Angeles, combining traditional jewellery-making techniques with carefully selected materials and contemporary design.
Our collections may incorporate precious metals, gemstones, natural materials and individually sourced components.
Every piece is made with attention to detail, and subtle variations are part of its character.
Natural gemstones and other materials may exhibit differences in colour, texture, pattern, clarity and inclusions. These characteristics are not necessarily defects but reflect the individuality of the materials.
We make every effort to represent our jewellery accurately through photography, descriptions and measurements. However, colours may appear differently depending on your screen, and certain details may vary slightly between individual pieces.
Product dimensions, gemstone weights and other measurements may be approximate unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Made-to-Order Jewellery & Production Times

Our jewellery is currently made to order and is not held in stock for immediate dispatch. Each piece is individually prepared and crafted following acceptance of your order.
Please allow up to five weeks for production before shipping. This period is separate from the time required for delivery.
Any different production timeframe will be communicated on the relevant product page or before your order is accepted.
We take care to ensure that each piece meets our standards before dispatch. If unexpected circumstances affect our ability to ship within the promised timeframe, we will contact you with an updated shipping date and offer you the option to accept the delay or cancel for a full refund, in accordance with applicable law.
If you are purchasing jewellery for a particular occasion, please contact us before placing your order to discuss the expected timeframe.
We appreciate your patience while your piece is being created.

3. Orders & Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance and the availability of the materials required for production. After submitting an order, you will receive an acknowledgement by email confirming that we have received it. This acknowledgement does not necessarily constitute acceptance of your order. A binding purchase agreement is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted for fulfilment.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where:

  • A product or essential material is unavailable.

  • There is an error in pricing or product information.

  • Payment cannot be authorised or verified.

  • We cannot lawfully fulfil the order.

  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

If we cancel an order after collecting payment, we will issue a full refund.
We may contact you if additional information is required to complete your order.

4. Prices, Currency & Payments

All prices displayed on our website are in United States Dollars (USD) unless expressly stated otherwise. Prices may be changed without notice, but any changes will not affect orders already accepted.
Applicable sales taxes, shipping charges and other fees will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
Payment is required in full at the time of purchase unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
Payments are processed through the secure payment providers available on our website.
For international orders, your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion charges or foreign transaction fees. These charges are outside our control.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We ship orders once production has been completed and the jewellery has passed our quality checks.

Production may take up to five weeks before dispatch. Shipping time is additional.

Available delivery services, costs and estimated transit times will be provided at checkout or before your order is accepted.
Once your order has shipped, we will send a dispatch confirmation and tracking information where available.
Please ensure that your shipping address is complete and accurate. If an address needs correcting, contact us as soon as possible.
Delivery estimates provided by shipping carriers are not guarantees. Customs processing, weather conditions and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery.
If we are unable to ship within the agreed timeframe, we will offer the cancellation and refund options required by applicable consumer law.
Where appropriate, shipments may require a signature upon delivery.
Risk of loss or damage during shipping will pass in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the relevant transaction. We will address lost or damaged shipments in accordance with our legal obligations.

6. International Orders, Customs & Import Duties

We welcome international enquiries and orders where delivery and the sale of the relevant materials are legally permitted.
International shipments may be subject to import duties, customs clearance fees, local taxes and other charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, these charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the items they order may lawfully be imported into their country, although we remain responsible for complying with laws applicable to our own sales and export activities.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order if legal, customs or shipping restrictions prevent us from fulfilling it.
If an order cannot lawfully be fulfilled before dispatch, we will cancel it and provide a full refund.
Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer protections applicable in the customer's country.

7. Returns & Exchanges

We want you to be delighted with your jewellery. Because our pieces are individually made to order, we operate a carefully considered returns policy.
Standard Collection Jewellery
We accept returns of eligible standard collection jewellery within 14 days of delivery, subject to a 15% restocking fee.

To qualify for a return:

  • You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

  • The jewellery must be unworn, undamaged and unaltered.

  • The piece must be returned with its original packaging and any accompanying documentation.

  • The return must be authorised by us before it is shipped.

  • The jewellery must be sent back within 14 days of receiving return authorisation, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

The 15% restocking fee is calculated on the purchase price of the returned jewellery, excluding separately stated shipping charges and taxes.
We reserve the right to decline discretionary returns that do not meet these conditions, subject to applicable consumer rights.

Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return results from our error, a qualifying defect or another circumstance in which the law requires us to cover those costs. We strongly recommend using a tracked and fully insured shipping service appropriate to the value of the jewellery.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable for discretionary returns, except where required by law.

Refunds
Once an authorised return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of its approval or rejection.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method, less the applicable restocking fee and any other deductions permitted by law.
We aim to process approved refunds within 10 business days of completing the inspection. Your financial institution may require additional time to credit your account.
Applicable taxes will be refunded as required by law.

Exchanges

Exchanges are subject to the availability of the requested design and materials. As our jewellery is made to order, a replacement piece may require a new production period of up to five weeks.
Any price difference or additional shipping charges will be communicated before an exchange is confirmed.

Final Sale Items

The following items are not eligible for discretionary returns or exchanges:

  • Bespoke and individually commissioned jewellery.

  • Engraved or personalised pieces.

  • Jewellery specially altered or manufactured to unique customer specifications.

  • Products clearly identified as final sale before purchase.

These exclusions do not affect any rights customers may have in relation to faulty, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods.

8. Order Cancellations

We understand that circumstances can change after an order has been placed. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us promptly at info@parisreidjewellery.com.
Where production has not begun, we will generally be able to cancel your order and issue a full refund.
Once production has begun, cancellation requests will be assessed according to the nature of the order, work already undertaken and applicable law.
For standard collection pieces, our returns policy may apply once the jewellery has been delivered.
For bespoke, personalised or individually commissioned pieces, cancellation may not be possible once production has begun, except where required by law or agreed in writing.
If we cannot ship within the promised timeframe, your rights to cancel and receive a full refund will be honoured in accordance with applicable law.

9. Bespoke & Personalised Jewellery

We welcome enquiries about bespoke commissions and personalised designs.
These may include custom gemstone selections, engraving, alterations to existing designs or entirely individual pieces.
Before proceeding with a bespoke order, we will confirm the design specifications, price and estimated production timeframe.
Bespoke and personalised orders are generally final sale once production has commenced and cannot be returned or exchanged simply because the customer has changed their mind.
If a bespoke piece is faulty or materially different from the agreed specifications, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
Any changes requested after production begins may result in additional costs or extended production times.

10. Restricted & Natural Materials

Certain Paris Reid Jewellery designs may incorporate rare or unusual natural materials, including prehistoric woolly mammoth ivory.
We are committed to using materials obtained through lawful sources and to complying with applicable restrictions governing their sale and shipment.
Woolly mammoth ivory is derived from an extinct species and is distinct from modern elephant ivory. Nevertheless, its sale, possession for sale, importation or exportation may be restricted or prohibited in certain jurisdictions.

Jewellery containing mammoth ivory is offered only where its manufacture, sale and delivery are legally permitted.
Such products may be subject to additional eligibility checks before an order is accepted.
We reserve the right to restrict availability, suspend sales, decline orders or cancel transactions involving restricted materials where necessary to comply with applicable law.
If we cannot legally fulfil an order, we will provide a full refund of any payment received.
Customers are encouraged to contact us before ordering any piece incorporating restricted materials.

Descriptions of material provenance or age are based on information available from our suppliers and supporting documentation. We do not guarantee a precise prehistoric age unless expressly supported by appropriate evidence.

11. Jewellery Care & Natural Wear

Fine jewellery should be handled and stored with care. We recommend removing jewellery during activities that may expose it to impact, abrasion, excessive moisture or chemicals.
Avoid direct contact with perfumes, cleaning products, chlorine and other substances that may affect precious metals, gemstones or natural materials.
Jewellery should be stored carefully, preferably in its original packaging or a suitable jewellery box.
Natural wear, minor surface marks and changes arising from ordinary use are to be expected over time.
Damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper storage, unauthorised repairs or inappropriate cleaning is not considered a manufacturing defect.
This does not affect statutory consumer rights or any applicable product warranty.

12. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

We take care to ensure that every piece meets our standards before shipping.
If your jewellery arrives damaged, defective or materially different from what you ordered, please contact us promptly at info@parisreidjewellery.com.
Include your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where possible.
We will review the circumstances and arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, refund or another resolution required by applicable law.

Restocking fees do not apply to returns involving a qualifying manufacturing defect, an incorrect item or an error on our part.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Product Information & Availability

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that all product descriptions, photographs, measurements, prices and availability information are accurate.
However, occasional errors or omissions may occur.
We reserve the right to correct inaccuracies, update product information or withdraw products from sale without prior notice.
If a material error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you to explain the situation and offer an appropriate resolution.
Because many of our materials are individually sourced, we cannot guarantee their continued availability.
Where a particular material becomes unavailable, we may offer an alternative for your approval. We will not make a material substitution without your agreement.

14. Intellectual Property

All original jewellery designs, photographs, illustrations, written content, graphics, logos and other materials displayed on this website are owned by Paris Reid Jewellery or used with the permission of their respective rights holders.
